Is this what it’s like to be digitally evicted?
I was willing to accept a lot of nonsense, but when the doggo hit the fan, I felt so insulted by the stupidity that for the first time I seriously considered creating a Mastodon account (I still haven’). Anyway, since Twitter has been my main way to promote the Taisho Café, I’d really appreciate it if you spread the word about the existence newsletter.
What’s to come:
I’ve been extremely busy with work recently, mostly translating and proofreading some fantastic manga. But there are many pieces I have started working on that I want to share with you as soon as possible. This is what I have in store:
Review: Nisioisin’s Zaregoto Volume 10 or “How I started learning Japanese”
Review: Manga I read in February and March
Essay: Hōseki no Kuni and the Aesthetics of the End of the World
Essay: The Rural Nostalgia of Pokémon
Music recommendation:
Not to end on a sour note, Twitter is still bringing me a lot of joy. I read a friend recommending a band called April Magazine and as a fan of Shoegaze/Dream Pop, I fell deeply in love with it.
Until next time!
Can’t wait for those essays, they sound amazing!
